If you are called Northern Tool + Equipment UK, why are you based in the south?
The 'Northern' name refers to North America. The owner of the US company also originally established the UK business. The American company was founded in Burnsville near Minneapolis, in the State of Minnesota - the central northern region of the US.
Northern Tool + Equipment UK is now a trading division of WTB Group Ltd.


What is your pricing policy?
We are primarily a business supplier, so our standard pricing excludes VAT. However, for your convenience we always include a 'with VAT' price on this website for each and every item, and in our catalogues - and final prices at our website checkout page include VAT


Can I return an unsuitable product?
We offer a 30-day money-back satisfaction guarantee. See our Delivery + Returns page.


Is it cheaper to buy online?
Our web prices match the price shown in our most recently mailed catalogue(s). However we regularly offer web only special prices, either on our website and/or via email and you’ll frequently find some great online discounts. Sign up for exclusive email deals using the box in the bottom right hand corner of the page.


Do you have an after-sales service?
We have a dedicated Customer Services department, that can be contacted by calling 0845 605 2266 (option 2) Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.


Do you hire out goods?
No - there are lots of businesses providing that service very well. Our focus is on providing great value equipment and tools for purchase. In many cases, it's cheaper to buy rather than hire, especially for regular use or multiday hires.


Why must I type in a keycode?
Your keycode identifies the mailing or activity you have responded to. We use this information to ensure you receive offers and information relevant to you. Keycodes will sometimes be used to track a promotion or offer and can entitle you to exclusive discounted pricing. If you do not quote this you may not be able to participate in the promotion.

A keycode cannot be used to identify you personally.


Can I have next day delivery?
Yes. Place your order over the phone on 0845 605 2266 by 3pm, or on our website by 2pm and request/select our Next Day Delivery service.


Can I come and view the goods before I buy?
From February 2011, our stock irelocated from Portsmouth to our new Distribution Centre in Dumfries, Scotland. We therefore cannot now offer the facility to view our product range at our Portsmouth site.
Please call our Sales office for advice - we will try to assist if it is practicably possible to do so.
Please note, many items offering free delivery are not stocked at our warehouse regardless of location, and most items over 30kg or those needing assembly cannot be shown.


Can I collect my order?
Collection is no longer possible due to the relocation of our stock.


Where are you based?
Northern Tool + Equipment UK, Anson Road, Portsmouth PO4 8SX.

This location is now an administrative office only and our stock is located in Scotland.

Although we don't hold stock in Portsmouth, we have a Showroom at Anson Road displaying a selection of our wide and varied range. Come and see us! Orders placed in the Showroom are delivered FREE NEXT DAY to any UK location (showroom visitors only).
